Meet Agnes Ndebele

My name is Agnes Ndebele and I am a BACP accredited counsellor who works with adults, families, young people and children. I work within the BACP code of ethics offering counselling and therapy using the integrative therapeutic approach. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. I recently joined the Solace Children and Family-Wellbeing Project team on the 21st March 2020.

I am not new to this project which was initiated as a pilot project whilst I was previously employed by Haven Project in Hull. Haven was one of the three partners with Solace and Sheffield Refugee Council piloting this project. I feel privileged to be employed by Solace as they continue to support Schools and this client group. I will continue to work with clients within East Riding, North Lincolnshire and Scarborough.

The desire to help alleviate positive change in refugee families who might be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorders and witnessing the treatment and healing process of my clients motivates me the most.

Outside my role as a counsellor, I am a mother who enjoys quality time with family. I have a one-year old granddaughter who I spent most of my weekends enjoying her company as I watch her growing. I also enjoy sharing in religious gathering and helping with coffee morning and food banks.
