Solace support for resettled children and families webinars

Since 2018, Solace has been working in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Refugee Council to deliver therapeutic support to refugee children and families, who are resettled in the UK through the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) programmes. All have a history of displacement due to global conflict and many have special needs including health or education difficulties.  Building a new life with limited English while navigating complex UK systems can be overwhelming and disempowering. Working therapeutically in a trauma informed and culturally sensitive way, the Solace Children and Families Wellbeing Support (CFWS) Team share their knowledge and experience in these five webinars. You will learn how Solace supports refugee children and families therapeutically, as well as  gain insight into how other services in education, health and social care can adapt their practice to facilitate the health and flourishing of refugees invited to settle in the UK.
